They researched problems, created their own products, and pitched their ideas to our Sharks. From creative inventions to thoughtful solutions, they impressed us all with their confidence, creativity, and big thinking!

Thursday is Super Hero Day! Dress like your favorite superhero!

Last night, Lowndes High School hosted the Lowndes County LEIF Awards, where students across the county were recognized by their principals for excellence in academics and character. Dewar Elementary is proud to announce that Annabelle Campbell and Callie Lopez represented our school so well.

Annabelle was honored with the Most Improved Award for her incredible academic growth and achievements throughout the school year.

Callie Lopez received the One Lowndes Award for earning the highest GPA in her grade while consistently demonstrating true Viking character, kindness, and inclusiveness.

We are so proud of these girls for representing Dewar with excellence both inside and outside the classroom! 🏆❤️

We are excited to invite your elementary-aged students to join us for Once Upon a STEM Day, a free community event celebrating the magic of STEM and literacy through fun, hands-on activities!

Location: Valdosta State University – Teacher Education Center
This special event will feature:

Engaging STEM and literacy activities designed for elementary-aged students

Snacks for participants

Exciting prizes and giveaways throughout the evening

Blue ribbons = Bluau time! 💙🌺 Fifth-grade students who earned all required blue ribbons in ELA, Math, and Science on Study Island were able to celebrate in style at this year’s “Bluau!” From dancing and games to cotton candy treats, award certificates, and festive leis, it was a day full of laughter and a LOT of blue luau fun!
