Ms. Swopes’ second graders are officially authors! 📚 They worked so hard in April to bring their class book to life. From rough drafts to edits to final drafts, students put so much time, creativity, and effort into every page. Each student wrote their own page and illustrated a picture to match. Once the books got delivered, they took turns reading their pages aloud to their classmates, and it was such a special moment filled with smiles, excitement, laughter, and so much pride! Watching their creativity and confidence shine made this project even more meaningful. We are so proud of all the hard work, imagination, and teamwork that went into creating our very first class book!

Students in Mrs. Godwin’s classes celebrated passing their multiplication facts with a disco party. They were rewarded with a movie, popcorn, soda, and candy. A glow party was the best way to end the school year!

Mrs. Daniels’ third graders brought reading to life after finishing the novel The Wild Robot! Students recreated scenes from the story using marshmallows, pretzels, and Teddy Grahams to represent the characters and setting. To celebrate completing the book, students enjoyed eating their creations while watching the movie together. It was a fun and memorable way to combine reading, creativity, and classroom community!
