On Monday, August 27, the South GA String Project (associated with VSU and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra) visited Dewar Elementary. They performed a short informational concert for 4th Grade students and spoke about their after school program. SGSP will be holding an interest meeting for students 3rd Grade and up at VSU on September 5 at 5pm in the Fine Arts Building. Students can learn violin, viola, cello, or double bass by joining the program. The 4th graders at Dewar really enjoyed the concert, especially when the group performed the theme from Star Wars!
